Amazing Jamaican food in Chico. .. like going to the island without the long flight, etc. The bean soup was amazing, too. The coconut, ginger cookie was the best. Sipho, the owner, is the best.
Incredible food and even better vibes! Siphos is a true gem. The jerk chicken and brown stewed chicken were my favorites, but honestly, everything I tried was delicious—including their fish. The vibe is warm, welcoming, and full of good energy. Sipho, the owner, is amazing—he’ll pop out to check in and make you feel right at home. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves great Jamaican food and good people.
I had the ackee and saltfish at Sipho’s and it was seriously good. The saltfish was perfectly seasoned and paired so well with the creamy ackee, peppers, and onions—it felt like a really comforting, homemade meal. I’ve tried a few other dishes here too, and everything has been flavorful and delicious. If you’re in Chico and craving something unique and satisfying, Sipho’s is a must.
The best authentic Jamaican food I’ve tried yet. The owner was very friendly, came out when he could to see how everything was & gave us a taste of his rum cake that was to die for. Highly recommend if you enjoy good Jamaican food.
Some of the most amazing, and authentic Jamaican food I've had the pleasure to eat! The meat is so tender and flavorful. It falls right off the bone. Everyone at the table was quietly enjoying their meals; even my teenager. Janet was so hospitable, sweet, and welcoming. A great experience all around!!!
Sipho’s is the place to be for great Jamaican eats, good reggae music and the spirit of Rasta Love. The chef is true to his roots and you can feel it in the atmosphere, taste it in his home cooking and see it in his smile. All the staff are friendly and kind. Food portions are large and tasty. Check them out for free live music every second Saturday of the month. At Sipho’s they make you feel like family. One Love.
I particularly like the eskovitch fish. I feel better after eating it. Like my body is happy that it just got everything it needs. Large serving at a fair price. The rum cake is also very tasty.
I ordered the jerk chicken sandwhich with fries and plaintain with ginger lemon drink and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! The sandwhich had so much flavor!!! The atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel super comfortable and at home. They were super nice, friendly, and welcoming to me. What a great experience and will definitely be back again soon!
